Speaker Guidelines: 

The topic/presentation should be related to the Information Technology industry.

The topic of the presentation should be interesting and related to the presentation.

The presentation should be “Educational” and not made into a sales pitch for your company.

Presentation should be 45 minutes to an hour long.

You can use five minutes at the end of the presentation to explain how your company might address issues around your presentation.

You can bring brochures and other promotional handouts to the meeting.

If your presentation can be e-mailed (or linked over the Internet) we can put it up on our web site for viewing by anyone who could not attend the dinner meeting.

It would be great if you could supply some type of prize that could be won in a drawing at the meeting.  If this prize is of significant value, we would add this information to the newspaper announcements.  This is not a requirement and is not expected.  It would simply be a nice way to get more people to attend.

Speaker name(s), Bio(s), Topic and Synopsis of presentation shall be provided to WNYSIP President 3 weeks “before” the presentation date.  This lead time is necessary in order to submit the information to the local newspapers on a timely manner.

If you require and audio/visual aides please provide that information when you provide the speaker, bio, topic and synopsis data.

If you have any other creative ways of marketing your presentation, please let us know.  We would be interested in sponsoring new ways to make WNYSIP known to the entire Western New York community and new ways to provide our membership with educational opportunities.
